I always look forward to the Academy meetings. I feel very much at home with my colleagues who share similar vision and ideals. The meetings always attract the best speakers and this time we were treated to husband and wife team from Canada, Dr Sonia Lezly, periodontist (gum specialist) and Dr Brahm Miller, prosthodontist (restorative dentist) who gave a keynote address of 3 hours on the latest thinking about creating and maintaining beautiful and healthy gums around aesthetic restorations. Also speaking were Dr Marcus Beschnidt from Germany on aesthetic all ceramic restorations using implants. Drs Massimo Fuzzi and Diego Capri travelled from Italy to present a fascinating insight into aesthetics and biology.
The intimate nature of these meetings allows time to meet and chat with the speakers and like a family reunion, conversation and socialising carried on well into the small hours. Looking forward to BAAD 2009!
