I have pursued excellence in dentistry for more than 50 years. My passion is changing lives by creating beautiful smiles and transforming dental disasters. A perfectionist by nature, I strive to provide standards of care I would seek for myself and my family.
Implants are a particular interest, and I have been placing them for 29 years since 1996.
During that period, I have placed between 2500 and 3000 implants with an extremely high long term success rate.
Over 29 years, I have used many systems and trained with leading edge surgeons at home and abroad in Switzerland, Belgium, Germany and the UK. I was a mentor for Astra tech implants.
Implants in the smile zone are especially challenging to achieve harmony with gums, lips and facial proportions. My training and experience enables me to the perform bone augmentation, guided bone and tissue regeneration and microsurgery necessary to recreate that perfect smile to be proud of.
I was one of the first six dentists to gain the highly regarded Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 2009.
Another passion in dentistry is Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dentistry and for over 40 years, I have been changing smiles and lives. I have been a Full member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry for 20 years, a Council Member for 9 years and am currently President Elect of the Academy. baad.org.uk
I was a member of the Scandinavian Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry which ceased in 2020 post covid and am currently a member of the new replacement Scandinavian Study Group.
I trained with the leading American experts in Cranio Mandibular disorders and since 1990, I have been helping patients by resolving dentally based head and neck pain. I regularly receive referrals for the problems associated with this discipline. Bite related problems are very common and can cause issues like broken and extensive wear of teeth and restorations, as well as joint clicking, head and neck pain. Over the last 35 years, I have treated hundreds of patients with success, often with fully balanced whole mouth reconstruction.
In 2024, I was made a Fellow of the College of General Dentistry.
In 2016, I was invited to become a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. This is not a teaching College but is the oldest Honour Society in Dentistry founded in 1920 and supports Humanitarian work world-wide. Fellowship is by invite and is a great honour. I was elected Regent (President) for England, Scotland and Wales in 2024 and I am proud to serve them in this capacity.
