Practice Announcement

Practice Update

Dear patient,

This an update on progress to date.

Lucy and Kirsten are now operating at full capacity, as are all hygienists.

We are endeavouring to work our way through the follow up list and book appointments for everyone, especially establishing the oral health programmes, vital to dental health and keeping teeth and implants.

This is a very time-consuming task, because we telephone each person individually, keeping our very personal relationship with all our valued patients. We have temporarily engaged Samantha and Caroline to assist us in this booking process which will speed things up. If you need an appointment for hygiene, please help us by telephoning the practice on 01905 778873.

Karedent remains the most cost-effective scheme to ensure regular maintenance and there are no additional charges for PPE (personal protective equipment) to Karedent subscribers. If you wish to join Karedent, please ask Sue for details.

We have some staff changes as well. Moira, after 20 years with us, has decided to take a well-earned retirement from the end of October. We thank her for her long service and wish her every happiness and good health. Lucy Lancaster has joined us as a new replacement nurse.

We also welcome Olivia as a new hygienist / therapist member to our team. Sharon and Ella will continue to work as before.

My new surgery is finally nearing completion. Fiona and I look forward to welcoming all our patients in the lovely new facilities.

We now are approaching a fully digital patient journey. Online video consultations are offered, not only for new patients, but for all our existing patients. Please arrange an online appointment by clicking here or telephone reception to arrange one.

We also have the new ‘Smile View’ Invisalign system allowing you to get an idea of what invisible orthodontics can do for you. To see what your smile could look like today , click here…

I am now accredited and can offer Digital Smile Design, which allows me to show you, in your own facial photograph, what a new smile can offer you. Do you hate having photographs and want a new look? If so, let me show you what can be done.

If you have a special event next year or just want to improve your smile, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss what we can do for you. Don’t leave it until the last moment, because your options become more limited.

We will soon be arranging ‘virtual open evenings ‘on many aspects of dentistry. I will email all patients with details.

We continue to operate under the highest possible standards, constantly reviewing and observing all the appropriate protocols. This is for your safety.

All surgeries now have air filtration systems which kill viruses.

Unfortunately, because of social distancing rules, we cannot accommodate more than 3 people in the waiting room and we have to lock the front door. When you visit for your appointment, please telephone, inform reception of your arrival and remain in your car until we contact you to proceed to the front door. Please do not come directly to the front door if at all possible. If space is available, you can park in our car park at the rear of the building.

This measure will allow us to offer the very few available seats to those who travel by other means. We are observing strict measures to remain on time for your visit and apologise for this inconvenience, but these are government directives which we have to follow for your safety.

With kind regards,

Roy Morris BDS. Dip Imp Dent RCSEd. FICD. Fellow Pierre Fauchard Academy.
